Anxiety is one of the most misunderstood things.
Real anxiety, not just the “I’m anxious kind.”
The kind that takes your breath away.
The kind that makes you too much and not enough all at once.
Anxiety is so misunderstood.
Because people assume faith should make you fearless.
That if you really trusted Him, your mind wouldn’t race, your heart wouldn’t pound, and your chest wouldn’t feel tight for no reason.
But that’s not how it works.
Anxiety doesn’t mean you don’t believe.
It doesn’t mean you don’t pray.
It doesn’t mean you aren’t trying.
Sometimes it simply means your nervous system is tired from surviving.
Your brain learned to stay on high alert.
Your body remembers things you’ve been through… even when life is finally calm.
And God knows that.
Some days I pray with confidence.
Other days I pray while shaking.
Sometimes my prayers are worship… and sometimes they’re just: “God, please help me breathe.”
And He meets me every time.
God doesn’t require calm.
He doesn’t demand perfection.
He just asks for honesty.
So if you love God but still battle anxiety… you are not broken. you are not weak. you are not failing.
You’re human…
and you’re still choosing Him.
And that is real faith. Choosing Him even while shaking.
That is real faith.
